I'm an entertainment writer who loves to create the kind of stuff you can't help but bring up at dinner.

Currently, I am the Entertainment and Features Editor at Graphiq, a tech company in Santa Barbara, CA that makes interactive infographics that enrich publishers' articles. My work has appeared in Time, BuzzFeed, Business Insider, Rolling Stone, Mic, The Washington Post and more.

In the summer of 2014, I started as an Associate Editor at Graphiq (formerly FindTheBest) where I wrote about everything from politics to education to nutrition, using data and visuals to propel each story. I took ownership of seven of the company's lifestyle verticals and helped define the tone of Graphiq's new entertainment data site, PrettyFamous. I was promoted to Lifestyle Editor in April 2015 and later to Editorial Lead in October. I currently almost exclusively write and edit data-driven entertainment pieces for PrettyFamous.

In addition to my current job, I for more than a year I contributed to Mic's music section, where I discussed a trend or event at the intersection of music and social justice.

Before joining the Graphiq team, I was an editorial fellow at BuzzFeed, where I learned the art of creating social and viral content. By obsessively tracking up-and-coming internet trends and appealing to the readers' pathos, I was able to craft a range of stories that compelled people to share—my most successful post was viewed more than 17 million times. Brands such as Nyquil and Amtrak used some of my posts for their native advertising.

I graduated from the University of Southern California in 2014 with a B.A. in print and digital journalism and additional concentrations in web development and Chinese language. I received honors in my department and graduated Magna Cum Laude. During college, I worked as an entertainment editor at Neon Tommy and interned at Rolling Stone Magazine in the summer. My senior year, I was on my way to a grad school interview when I found myself in the middle of the LAX shooting. My tweets and pictures at the scene were published in numerous publications such as The New York Times, and I was later interviewed by CNN.

In my free time, I like to travel, perfect my chocolate chip cookie recipe and watch reruns of The Office.
